I grew up in Yeovil and lived in Odcombe for a couple of years when my parents moved there. I then went to University in Leeds and subsequently lived in different parts of London before settling in the Kingston on Thames area for around 30 years, where I worked in education. My last role was as a member of the leadership team across two large schools with responsibility for the Post-16 education. I enjoy cycling and travelling and generally being active and getting on with things.

I enjoy being on the Parish Council for a number of reasons. It has been very interesting to meet people with very different skills and backgrounds, all of whom want to contribute to life in the village in some way. It is also great to be involved in something where there is usually a sense of progress and achievement on matters that are new and interesting and often quite challenging.
