The Parish Council has been notified by Somerset Council of a temporary 30mph Speed Limit to be introduced along Camp Road.
Somerset Council, exercising its powers under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and following notification to the Chief Officer of Police, has issued a Notice introducing a temporary 30mph Speed Limit from a point 50 metres west of the junction with the A30 West Coker Road, extending westwards for a distance of 1850 metres.
The Notice will take effect from 7 May 2026 and will remain in force for up to 21 days. Should the restriction need to remain in place beyond this period, Somerset Council may issue a further 21‑day Notice under Section 14(2), or alternatively make a temporary Order under Section 14(1) to continue the restriction for a longer period.
